Manual Medicine

Several different types of health care providers deliver manipulative treatment or manual medicine.  DCs (Doctors of Chiropractic), DNs (Doctors of Naprapathy), DOs (Doctors of Osteopathy), NDs (Doctors of Naturopathy), and OMDs (Doctors of Oriental Medicine) all may be trained in the different methods of joint mobilization and soft tissue treatment.  The theory behind the practice differs from one field to another;  some techniques are common to all, and some are found only in one school.  Dr. Negri, having been trained in both the traditional manipulative methods found in Oriental medicine and those in Naturopathy, is able to deal with musculoskeletal problems by manual treatment of the joints and muscles.  Patients say they enjoy the more gentle approach that they find here, compared with the "heavy hand" treatment they have had elsewhere.
