(The ANSWERS to your QUESTIONS)

How much will an appointment cost?

Dr. Negri spends at least an hour with you the first time, and he does a full analysis of your case and a few tests to arrive at a treatment plan that is right for you.  The first visit ranges from $170 for one health problem to $250 for a comprehensive workup, if you have multiple problems.

Once you are an established patient, the average office call is $69.   There may be exceptions, depending on the time spent and the treatments.

Will I get a treatment on the first visit?  How does the first visit work?

If you have a simple muscular problem like back pain or tennis elbow, he will treat you on the first visit.  If you have a more complex condition, then he will discuss your history with you during your first visit as well as do whatever initial testing is needed to analyze your case to come up with a treatment plan.

How many treatments would I need to feel better?

Most people feel significantly better within 4-5 sessions, but it does take a full course of treatment to make lasting improvements in most conditions. The international standard for any therapy, according to the World Health Organization, is 12 treatments for most persistent health problems.  You will probably be treated weekly at first, and sessions spaced farther apart once you have made some progress.  If you have considerable improvement in as little as 4-5 sessions, you could be released from active treatment and put on a maintenance schedule of four times a year to prevent recurrence.  Deep-seated problems often require a full course of treatments before seeing results.

How will I feel after the treatment?

Several possibilities:

You could feel better right away; more relaxed, less pain, and your body could feel like it is lined up straighter.

You could feel temporarily worse before you start feeling better.  While your body is adjusting to the new “programming” from the treatment, you may have some new aches or old ones that come back for a short time (1-3 days).

You could experience headaches, or fatigue, or hot and cold flushes as your body begins “housecleaning” as a result of the treatment.  These are a positive sign that the healing process has been stimulated.  Lots of waste material will be released from your tissues, and it is important that you drink lots of water after a treatment to help flush it out.

Emotional changes are not uncommon, and are not a bad thing.  If you feel like crying for no reason, don’t worry.  The mind is always connected to the body and true healing does not happen on only one level.

What kind of doctor is Dr. Negri?

There are several kinds of doctors in the United States:  Medical Doctors, Osteopathic Doctors, Doctors of Chiropractic, Doctors of Oriental Medicine, and Naturopathic doctors.  Dr. Negri holds the last two degrees.

He studied at the American School of Oriental and Homeopathic Medicine in Florida, earning a degree in Oriental medicine.  He later was awarded a second degree in Naturopathic medicine from the United States School of Naturopathy and Allied Sciences (First National University).  He has been licensed in West Virginia since 1997.  He also holds a license in Pennsylvania.  He was formerly licensed in the District of Columbia.

Is he also a homeopath?

Dr. Negri is also certified in homeopathic medicine (CCH).  Only two states separately license homeopathic doctors.  In the USA, it is considered a “postgraduate medical specialty”, meaning any type of doctor may also be a homeopath with the right training.

Does he do acupuncture?  Does he use needles?

Dr. Negri does use needle acupuncture on occasion, using sterile disposable needles.  But most of the acupuncture he does is non-needle stimulation of the points.  Using infrared laser, magnetic fields, or electrical stimulation, the effects of acupuncture can be had without penetrating the skin.

Does the treatment hurt?

No.  Dr. Negri’s special methods cause no pain.

How soon can I get an appointment?

We will send out a new patient package to you with an intake form that you will fill out and return to us.  Dr. Negri reviews this and decides if he can help you.  If so, he does a first workup on it, and we call you back to schedule a time for the first visit.  The waiting time varies, but we’ll try to get you in as soon as possible.  Many patients travel from other states and have appointments scheduled far in advance, so please realize that there is competition for each time slot, and sometimes we cannot guarantee you the time you would like.

What will the doctor do for my_______?

The best plan is to come in for a free 15-minute consultation to see if you have a problem that can be helped with our approach.  The treatment plan is different for each person.  Even if you have the same diagnosis as someone else, your individual presentation will require some different methods than the other person.  Your treatment plan will combine the methods that will best benefit your problems.  Your new patient packet will have a list of all the different therapies that we offer.

Does the doctor treat children?

Yes, we treat all ages of children.  Kids especially love to take homeopathic medicines, and parents like the fact that they are non-toxic with no side effects.

What is his success rate?

Every year we do a practice analysis and our patients’ response rate is usually around 91%.

Will my insurance cover the treatments?

We no longer bill any insurance company.  We accept payment at the time of service and will give you a detailed receipt so that you can ask your insurance company to reimburse you (with the exception of those companies like PEIA, who have stated that they will not reimburse).

Do I need a referral from my other doctor?

No.

What nationality is Dr. Negri?

He is American.
